This site is not about some conspiracy by the evil Google organization. It provides a matter-of-factly view on what Google does and how it effects our lifes on the Internet and more and more also in real life. When I was talking to some friends they were wondering why I had anything “against Google”. For my part I wondered why they spent several years bashing Microsoft who far less effected everyday life than Google does today.
I have several concerns that came to me over the years. Some years ago Google started their first big online application called Google Mail. While it still has the Beta plate on its logo it has become one of the most successful Google applications. Then some people were concerned that Google reserved the right to search, index and save the emails of every user. That did Google Mail not stop from becoming ahuge succeess, however. Presumably not all users are really reading the EULA – or they are just not being concerned over that idea.
The same anti-privacy policy goes for all other Google applications. In September 2008 Google releases their own web browser that collects data of the user’s browsing habits and transmits them to Google’s headquarters. Talk about Big Brother ..
I enjoy your site very much.
